On August 20, units under Tan Khanh Ward People's Committee (HCMC) are urgently carrying out the work of mobilizing households to receive compensation money and hand over land to implement the HCMC - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.
Leaders of Tan Khanh Ward People's Committee directly met with households to mobilize them to receive money and hand over the land. The Ward People's Committee also received the wishes and recommendations of the people. In addition, explained the policy of project implementation, compensation, support and resettlement policies, thereby creating consensus among the people.
According to Tan Khanh Ward People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project passing through the ward area has a length of about 3.64 km, affecting 228 households and organizations. The total land area expected to be recovered for the project in the area is about 23 hectares.
Up to now, the work of determining the recovered land area, issuing land recovery notices and measuring and counting has been 100% completed. The compensation plan has been approved for 227 households, with a total cost of more than 1,044 billion VND.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project has a total length of about 52 km. In which, the section passing through the old Binh Duong province is nearly 46 km long with a total investment of about 17,400 billion VND. The land area recovered for the project is 344 ha, affecting 1,615 households, individuals, and organizations.
The site clearance project passes through 9 communes and wards, including: Tan Khanh, Tan Hiep, Vinh Tan, Binh Duong, Binh Co, Phuoc Hoa, An Long, Chanh Phu Hoa ward and Bau Bang commune. Due to the uneven progress of land recovery in localities, it affects the project construction progress. The construction site is mainly implemented in the An Long and Phuoc Hoa communes.
