Of which, the Erex Sakura Yen Bai Biomass Fuel Factory Project started construction in July 2023, on an area of over 6 hectares in Bac Van Yen Industrial Cluster, Dong Cuong Commune, Van Yen District.
The project has a total investment of 509 billion VND to produce 150,000 tons of energy Compressors and 150,000 tons of wood chips/year. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into operation in the third quarter of 2025
Next is the Yen Bai 1 Biomass Power Plant Project, with a total estimated investment of over VND 2,900 billion on an area of nearly 11 hectares in Bac Van Yen Industrial Cluster, with a designed capacity of 50 MW of biomass power/year. The factory is expected to start operation in early 2027.

Currently, the project is completing land procedures, preparing land lease applications and issuing an Expanded Land Use Rights Certificate. The project is still facing difficulties and problems in land recovery and compensation.
For the Yen Bai 1 Biomass Power Plant Project, there are still some problems and difficulties in the dossier to adjust the project investment policy; the connection road from Provincial Road 163 has not been completed.
Some other reasons for the delay are due to the lack of route for the 110kV transmission line; no connection of wastewater to the plant; negotiation of signing a power purchase agreement (PPA) takes a lot of time due to the application of a new price framework after the current FIT power purchase price mechanism is canceled...
In addition, due to problems in site clearance related to the road surrounding the thermal power plant area... both of these trillion-dong projects are behind schedule compared to the plan.
