In recent years, Thai Nguyen has continuously invested in transport infrastructure systems to expand urban space and connect key economic regions.
In particular, the Bac Son extended road and the provincial stadium are two of the projects identified as strategic, playing a role in promoting synchronous development in both economy, society and tourism.

The Bac Son extended road project (Thai Nguyen City) is nearly 10km long, with a total investment of more than VND 2,100 billion, implemented under the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
This is an important development axis that helps connect the central urban area with the Nui Coc lake eco-tourism area, both creating conditions to attract investment capital and reducing the load on existing routes.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at the end of May 2025, the contractor has mobilized maximum machinery and human resources, synchronously deploying items from sidewalk construction, planting trees, installing lighting to building service roads and overpasses.

To speed up the project progress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan - Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee has directed the contractor to focus on human resources and equipment with the goal of being able to pay 80% of the project volume by June 30.
When completed, the extended Bac Son route will help shorten travel time to Nui Coc Lake Tourist Area, thereby attracting investment in the service and resort sectors.
In parallel with the main road, the Thai Nguyen provincial stadium project (Phuc Triu commune, Thai Nguyen city) is also being urgently completed.

The project started construction at the end of 2022 with a total investment of 543 billion VND, an area of over 14 hectares, designed with a capacity of 20,000 seats, meeting the standards for organizing national sports competitions.
According to the reporter's records, after more than 2 years of construction, the main items such as the yard, grandstand, irrigation system, and pitch road have been basically completed. Currently, the packages of roofing, lighting, electricity, water, and seats are being urgently completed.
According to the Project Management Board, up to now, the construction volume of the main construction package has reached about 95%. The structures and architecture of all 4 stands have been completed.

The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. This will be one of the new symbols of the sports infrastructure of the Northern midland and mountainous region.
The synchronous investment in traffic, cultural and sports items is creating a "possible" situation to stimulate economic growth, creating a dynamic and modern development space.
In order to aim for sustainable development, these key projects, when completed and put into operation, are expected to contribute to elevating the urban area, affirming its position as the center of the Northern midlands and mountainous areas.
