Dong Nai - The resettlement area of ​​nearly 50 hectares in Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city connecting to National Highway 51 is built for about 8,000 people.

On November 12, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province approved the project to build infrastructure for a 49.32-hectare resettlement area in Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city, mainly to serve the resettlement of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project (phase 1).

The 49.32 ha resettlement area in Phuoc Tan ward, Bien Hoa city accommodates 1,066 lots with a population of 4,248 people and 4 high-rise blocks with a population of 3,752 people. The total scale is about 8,000 people.

The project has a total investment of more than 1,117 billion VND from the provincial budget.

The resettlement area is located in Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City, with a land use requirement of approximately 49.7280 hectares. Of which, 49.3271 hectares is the total project area according to the planning, 0.2944 hectares is connecting to National Highway 51 and 0.1065 hectares is the construction area of ​​the drainage line to Buong River.

Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province approved the resettlement area project in Tam Phuoc ward, Bien Hoa city, serving the resettlement of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project, with an area of ​​nearly 32 hectares and a total investment of more than 643 billion VND.

To serve the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway construction investment project, in Bien Hoa city, there are 2 resettlement areas planned to be built to resettle people, which are the resettlement areas in Tam Phuoc ward and Phuoc Tan ward.

In addition, there are 2 other resettlement areas serving the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway that are currently under construction in Long Thanh district, including the Long Duc resettlement area with an area of ​​nearly 30 hectares, meeting the housing needs of nearly 3,400 people, equivalent to about 843 households, with a total investment of about 300 billion VND.

The 34-hectare Long Phuoc resettlement area in Long Phuoc commune serves people who gave up their land for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project with a total investment of nearly VND365 billion. This resettlement area will be built with a maximum of 4 floors with 1,048 lots to accommodate 4,000 - 4,500 people.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, which passes through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces, is nearly 54 km long and was started in June 2023. In Dong Nai province, component project 1 and component project 2 will be constructed, while in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, component project 3 will be constructed. In phase 1, the project will have a scale of 4-6 lanes (depending on each section). The total investment is more than 17,800 billion VND.
