Teachers' Day is more fun with the new school building
I returned to Huong Lien Kindergarten more than 2 months after the inauguration and putting into use the 2-storey, 4-room school building sponsored by the Tam Long Vang Social and Educational Fund with a total cost of more than 4 billion VND, of which the counterpart capital of Huong Khe District People's Committee was 1.2 billion VND.
In the atmosphere of celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20), the schoolyard and classrooms were brightly decorated. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nho (50 years old, residing in Huong Lien commune) has worked for more than 30 years, including more than 10 years teaching at Huong Lien Kindergarten, shared: "This year is a very special year when our school has a new, large, beautiful and spacious school building sponsored by the Golden Heart Social and Educational Fund. It can be said that this is the biggest and most meaningful gift that brings us the greatest joy in this school year - the school year celebrating the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day".
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Hoa - Principal of Huong Lien Kindergarten - said that the 2-storey, 4-room school building that Lao Dong Newspaper and the Tam Long Vang Social and Educational Fund sponsored and completed and put into use right at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year was very timely. After 2 months of being put into use, the project has brought into full play its functions, helping teachers and students to teach and learn more conveniently, better, and more effectively.
“Recalling the long years ago, the school building was in disrepair, leaking and there was no funding for construction, the school board as well as the teachers were very worried, anxious and worried. Fortunately, since the beginning of this year, Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social Support Fund have sponsored the construction of a new school building. From now on, the school is spacious, clean and beautiful, with full learning and playing equipment, so the school staff and teachers will be dedicated, enthusiastic and responsible in teaching to improve the quality of education, worthy of the trust and care of benefactors and the Golden Heart Social Support Fund,” Ms. Hoa said emotionally.
Parents are excited and reassured
Ms. Tran Thi Tham (38 years old, living in village 3, Huong Lien commune) has a child studying in a new building. She said that before, her older child had to study in a dilapidated, leaky, cracked level 4 building, and she was not comfortable because she was afraid of safety. Now, her child can study in a new, spacious 2-storey building with full equipment and learning materials, so she is very happy and very secure.
"We, the parents, are truly grateful to Lao Dong Newspaper and the Golden Heart Social Fund for sponsoring the construction of this meaningful and practical educational project," Ms. Tham shared.
Mr. Phan Thanh Le - Vice Chairman of Huong Lien Commune People's Committee - affirmed that after a few months of use, the 2-storey, 4-room school building sponsored by the Tam Long Vang Social and Charitable Fund for Huong Lien Kindergarten has performed well. It is truly a very practical and meaningful project in a difficult mountainous commune like Huong Lien.
At the inauguration ceremony of the 2-storey, 4-room school building of Huong Lien Kindergarten, the Tam Long Vang Social Work Fund presented 60 gifts to students and donated a rice cooker to the school. Previously, in 2022, the Tam Long Vang Social Work Fund sponsored the construction of a boarding house in Huong Lien commune (Huong Khe, Ha Tinh) with a total investment of 2.8 billion VND, with a scale of 10 rooms. Of which, the Tam Long Vang Social Work Fund sponsored 2.2 billion VND, the remaining nearly 600 million VND was matched by the Ha Tinh Provincial Labor Federation.
