Photo of Ronaldo visiting Jota's grave is fake

The images circulating on social media about Cristiano Ronaldo visiting Diogo Jota's grave are fake and confirmed to be the product of AI.

The verification organization Misbar recently clarified a series of photos that are being widely shared on social network X (old social network Twitter), in which the photo shows Cristiano Ronaldo quietly visiting the tomb of teammates Diogo Jota and his younger brother Andre Silva.

However, experts determined that this was a fake photo, created by AI tools. When checking carefully, Misbar discovered that the label "M.AI" appeared in the lower right corner of one of the photos, showing that the image was created using artificial intelligence technology.

Analysis results from the hugging Face tool also confirmed a 94.3% chance that this photo is an AI product, not a real photo.

In fact, Cristiano Ronaldo did not attend the funeral of Jota and his younger brother in Gondomar ( portugal) on July 5. According to international media, Ronaldo proactively avoided appearing because he did not want to attract attention or disrupt the private space of the deceased's family.

Although absent from the funeral, the Portuguese captain shared his feelings on social media: "This is unreasonable. Recently, we were still together in the national team. Recently, he had a wedding ceremony. My condolences to Jota's family, wife and children and wish them all the best. I know you will always be with them. Take a break, Diogo and Andre. We will miss you two."

The funeral of the Jota brothers was held just two days after the tragic traffic accident in Spain. The ceremony was attended by many former teammates and prominent figures such as Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Coach Roberto Martinez.
