Arsenal are now close to reaching a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres after negotiating with Sporting Lisbon. The Gunners will do everything they can to bring the Swedish striker to the Emirates this summer.
The 27-year-old striker has been linked with many of Europe's top clubs after another excellent season at Sporting. But Arsenal have been and still are a favorite destination for the Swedish international. The Gunners are looking for a quality No. 9 player this summer.
The Gunners are also negotiating with Benjamin Sesko, another long-term goal. The RB Leipzig striker was Arsenal's first choice at the start of this summer.

However, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is known for pushing for simultaneous transfers and has done so for both strikers in recent months.
The decision has been made by Arsenal's board when prioritizing the move for Gyokeres and a final deal is almost complete.
While the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee, Arsenal and Gyokeres have reached an agreement on individual terms.
And with this player prioritizing a move to Arsenal over all other pursuing teams, it is now likely that a deal will be made.
British media reported early last week that Gyokeres had been given four more days off by Sporting, as the team would return to pre-season on Monday.
The incident comes after a threaten to attack from Gyokeres, who is feeling disappointed with the club's stance on his future this summer.
In fact, Arsenal have 4 days to complete everything. Otherwise, Sporting will ask the Swedish striker to return to pre-season training in the Algarve on Friday.
Gyokeres scored 54 goals in 52 matches for the Portuguese champions last season and is always expected to go further. However, his possible departure with a £51.8 million release bonus and allowances has been denied by Sporting Chairman Frederico Varandas.

Sporting are said to want around £69 million for their striker. This is an amount of money that will make Gyokeres the most expensive Swedish player in history if Arsenal meet those requirements. It is likely that the parties will find a common voice.
News of a breakthrough in negotiations with Gyokeres comes shortly after Martin Zubimendi was officially announced as an Arsenal player on Sunday. Mikel Arteta is said to want to quickly end the club's striker search as Arsenal will soon return to prepare for the pre-season.
