Manchester United has flown to the US to participate in the pre-season tour, in the context that the squad reform process has only been partially completed.
The Red Devils have entered the summer transfer window with ambitious plans to rebuild their squad after a disappointing season, but so far, things have been quite slow.
The failure in the Europa League final, along with finishing only 15th in the Premier League, has raised serious doubts about the quality of the squad. The plan is to give coach Ruben Amorim the necessary support in the transfer market, while eliminating players who are no longer in the plan.
Matheus Cunha's arrival from Wolves with a transfer fee of £62.5 million seems to be a strong affirmation of M.U's ambition. However, it took another six weeks for the second deal to be completed, when Bryan Mbeumo joined the team from Brentford for £71 million.

Cunha and Mbeumo are important signings for Man United. They have successfully signed two of their most prominent players in the Premier League last season, despite failing to qualify for the European Cup next season. However, there is still a lot of work to do before the transfer window closes on September 1.
First, the club needs to find an outlet for players like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Rashford is currently on loan to Barcelona, and Sancho is preparing to join Juventus, but the other three names are still in the process of negotiations.
On the other hand, the search for other transfer targets is still continuing. A position that has attracted a lot of attention recently is the goalkeeper, with Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa as a prominent name. It is known that Man United has sent a loan proposal to the goalkeeper of each World Cup champion, but Villa has refused.
Andre Onana's mistakes last season were clearly noted, while the reserve goalkeeper Altay Bayindir also failed to show any outstanding performance every time he came on the field. Therefore, Martinez will certainly be a worthy replacement if Man United can complete the deal.
However, the problem lies in the fact that Martinez still has a contract with Aston Villa until June 2029, and it is difficult for the Villa Park team to accept selling him to a direct competitor.
Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens is another name for Man United to consider, in the context that Onana is still recovering from a hamstring injury. Lammens is valued at £17 million by the Belgian team, making him a more financially feasible option.
British media said another area that Amorim wants to improve is the defensive midfield, where Casemiro has passed his peak, Manuel Ugarte has not shown stability, while Kobbie Mainoo is more suitable for the role of attacking midfielder.
The "Red Devils" are said to be interested in Atalanta star Ederson. And the Brazilian seems a perfect choice. Juventus and Inter Milan are also closely monitoring Ederson, who is valued at €60 million by Atalanta.
Ederson's presence in the central midfield position will allow Amorim to arrange captain Bruno Fernandes in one of twocky midfield positions in the 3- midfielder formation. The two new recruits Mbeumo and Cunha will compete in the 10th position. Sporting Lisbon's Morten Hjulmand, whom Amorim is very knowledgeable about, is another option.
Up front, Man United are looking for a real centre-forward. They have contacted Hugo Ekitike and Viktor Gyokeres but have been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson and Ollie Watkins are also on the M.U target list.

Man United may need to sell Hojlund this summer to create space and budget for a new striker. And there have been rumors that Serie A clubs are interested in the Danish international - who scored just 10 goals in 52 matches last season.
Benjamin Sesko first caught the eye of Man United when he was just 16 years old in Slovenia, and the club held negotiations last summer. Earlier this summer, Arsenal seemed to prioritize Sesko over Gyokeres, but in the end they changed their mind.
Sesko is valued at €70 million by RB Leipzig and is capable of playing as a centre forward in Amorim's system.
Man United's dream team for the 2025-2026 season: E. Martinez, Yoro, De Ligt, L. Martinez, Dalot, Ederson, Fernandes, Dorgu, Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko.
