The truth about Man United wanting to recruit Nicolas Jackson

Man United still wants to add a new striker to the attack and are considering recruiting Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.

Manchester United are said to have negotiated with Nicolas Jackson's agent to find out Chelsea's possibility of a striker transfer. Man United are trying to reform their squad in the summer transfer window and want to recruit a new striker for coach Ruben Amorim.

The "Red Devils" have completed the recruitment of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a fee of 62.5 million pounds. In addition, the Old Trafford team is about to announce a £70 million contract with Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Mbeumo passed the medical examination on Sunday and is expected to sign a timely contract to join the team for the pre-season tour in the US. However, Man United has shown no signs of stopping in the summer transfer market this year.

The Old Trafford side are said to have tried to brush in on Viktor Gyokeres' deal between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon with a quick offer. According to Portuguese media, Man United has sent a deal worth 70 to 80 million Euros to convince Sporting to release him.

Amorim is looking forward to having another quality striker to compete with Rasmus Hojlund, who scored just 10 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions last season.

Man United are actively seeking opportunities in the transfer market. According to British media, a meeting was held between the "Red Devils" and the representative of Nicolas Jackson to discuss the possibility of recruiting the Chelsea striker.

Jackson has suddenly fallen into a difficult situation at Chelsea after the Stamford Bridge team recruited two new strikers, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, in the summer transfer window of 2025. Both of these new recruits have left a strong impression in the Blues' successful FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign. Therefore, Jackson is having to consider the next choices for his career.

However, Chelsea did not seem very interested in letting the Senegalese international leave. The London side are believed to be valuing Jackson at £100 million. The 24-year-old was a key striker in Enzo Maresca's system, contributing greatly to Chelsea's fourth-place finish in the Premier League and winning the Europa Conference League championship in the 2024-2025 season.

In line with Chelsea's signature style of tying up players, Jackson is currently on a contract until June 2033, after joining Villarreal for £32 million in 2023.

The Senegalese striker has now scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 81 appearances for the Blues. Despite his speed and good coordination, especially with midfielder Cole Palmer, Jackson is often considered unstable in finishing situations.

Man United's special attention to Jackson is attracting a lot of attention, especially in the context of rumors that Chelsea wants to recruit Alejandro Garnacho in this summer transfer window.

Garnacho is considered a superstar at Old Trafford, along with names such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.
