Because it is an all-English final, the capital Madrid - where Liverpool and Tottenham will play - welcomes many English fans to "land", along with a high risk of insecurity, because the English fans are still famous for the hooligan incident.
According to the British press, on the night of January 31, a number of British fans committed violence and caused trouble at a bar near Puerta del Sol Square and were quickly suppressed by the police.
The clip posted in an account of a Tottenham fan shows police officers with spears approaching a bar, followed by a scene where a fan appears to be beaten by police.
Spanish police said that there were a number of cases of fans attacking police officers. However, Spanish police did not disclose the location and time of the arrests of fans who disturbed public order.
A police spokesperson said on Twitter: "A British citizen was arrested for disturbing, including attacks on police officers. The arrest is part of the security operation for the Champions League final in Madrid."
The police's announcement came after allegations of being too harsh on fans while on duty to maintain security ahead of Liverpool's Tottenham clash at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Madrid police explained the suppression was due to the discovery of Tottenham fans attacking Liverpool fans. However, Tottenham fans present at that time said that this was not the case. One fan said: "At that time, we just laughed around and had fun. After that, the police suddenly arrived and there were explosions. They hit the table with a ball. They do it because they have the right to respect the law."
However, Liverpool fans said they heard a small group of Tottenham fans screaming provokingly.
A staff member at the bar confirmed that he had called the police but thought the police were too harsh on the fans.
