Despite the defeat in his debut match and his unimpressive performances, this is not a big deal for Viktor Gyokeres and Arsenal.
Gyokeres' official debut for Arsenal will take place at Old Trafford, against Manchester United on August 17.
However, when he first wore the No. 14 shirt in a friendly match, Gyokeres at least showed his need for Arsenal. The striker scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting CP before moving to the Emirates.
The first North London derby outside England ended with Arsenal's 0-1 defeat to Tottenham. In which, Arsenal only had one shot on target, taken by Kai Havertz, but was blocked by goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Gyokeres could only play in the last 20 minutes of the match, including extra time, when Arsenal were almost helpless on the pitch. Asserting that The Gunners need a real goalscorer is not new. But perhaps that was further highlighted when they spent £55m on Gyokeres.
Arsenal have waited for Gyokeres for a year - something many fans have been looking forward to, especially when the team tried to find a "Murderer" last summer. The negotiations have dragged on for weeks in the hope that Gyokeres will be signed as soon as the 2025 Summer Market opens, rather than having to wait until July 26 to complete.
Coach Mikel Arteta also had to wait 77 minutes before bringing on his expensive new signing. Gyokeres has received a warm welcome from fans in Hong Kong (China), who may hope to see him appear sooner.
"I am really happy to have players like Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera here. I believe they will bring a lot of value. You can see the difference, as well as the energy and qualities they will contribute.
This was just a short match but at least the first pressure is over. I believe that when they face Villarreal, things will be different" - the Spanish captain said.

The 27-year-old striker has been given the number 14 shirt - the symbol of the best strikers at Arsenal, notably Thierry Henry. Gyokeres' first goal is likely to come at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal will host Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao in upcoming friendly matches.
Arteta also pledged to give Gyokeres more playing opportunities. He said that Leandro Trossard was suffering from muscle strain and would be thoroughly examined.
Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes, all of whom are fit to feature in the Premier League's opening round.
In general, Arsenal have a strong belief that when the new season officially starts, Gyokeres will appear at the right time, in the right place and score important goals for the team.
