There is a possibility that Viktor Gyokeres is a late solution to Arsenal's attack problem.
In at least the past 2 years, Arsenal clearly need an effective striker. Their continued refusal to sign such a player could cost the club two Premier League titles.
In that context, The Gunners could not have let another transfer window go without bringing in a top-class striker. And their fans certainly won't be able to accept that. But is Gyokeres really the solution to Arsenal's problem?
The 27-year-old striker's statistics show that there is every basis for that. Gyokeres has scored more goals (68) than anyone else in Europe's top two leagues in recent seasons.

skeptics will certainly mention the case of Darwin Nunez - an unsuccessful contract of Liverpool. The Uruguayan striker has also scored regularly in Portugal, even at a younger age. However, Gyokeres' maturity and experience over Nunez is clearly an advantage.
Moreover, the 27-year-old player is familiar with the language and environment of playing in England. That means he will not have much difficulty integrating at the Emirates.
However, it is worth noting that after giving up the deal to recruit Benjamin Sesko (22 years old), Arsenal turned to Gyokeres, who is 6 months older than Viktor Osimhen. From that perspective, many people will feel that the investment for the Nigerlian striker should have been used more effectively.
However, that does not mean Gyokeres will not be able to shine at the Emirates. Arsenal have waited too long to get a murderer in the box. And now, they may have found the right person.

Gyokeres now needs to bring impressive form from Sporting to Arsenal. And that is certainly not an easy task.
His shot conversion rate in the past two seasons has reached 26.9% - higher than even stars like Harry Kane (23.9%) or Kylian Mbappe (20.1%). However, it should also be noted that 19 of Gyokeres' 54 goals in all competitions last season came from the penalty spot.
In fact, Gyokeres has shown that he can be a real threat to Premier League defenses. The obvious proof is the hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League last season. The Citizens' defense was completely helpless against this striker.
With Arsenal currently not having much competition for the No. 9 spot, combined with the number of opportunities he could be given in a creative system, Gyokeres is capable of becoming a strong candidate for the Premier League Golden Boot award.
