Notable highlights
In the previous round, Man United defeated Fulham 3-2 at home. They soon took a 2-0 lead, but let Fulham equalize 2-2. However, Sesko quickly appeared and scored again, bringing the second decisive goal for Man United in injury time in a home match in the Premier League this season.
That is the number of decisive goals in injury time equal to the total number of goals they scored in the 2022–2023 seasons (no), 2023–2024 (one) and 2024–2025 (one) combined.
Meanwhile, Tottenham had a difficult match when facing Man City at home. They were soon led 0-2. However, Dominic Solanke, after recovering from injury, had an excellent match when scoring 2 goals to help Tottenham equalize 2-2.
Those were Solanke's first goals in the Premier League this season, after being too affected by injury. The English striker has an average scoring efficiency of 88 minutes in all competitions, the best rate among Spurs players.

Despite a brave draw, this is still another match that Tottenham has not won, bringing their total number of winless matches in the Premier League to 6. This is their longest winless streak since the 7-match streak in the 2024–2025 season.
Although they have drawn with Man City, Spurs (the name of Tottenham) are still not really in good form, and they will face a much sharper Man United than last season. The Old Trafford team has scored 14 goals from set pieces (excluding penalties), only behind the leading team Arsenal (17).
Bruno Fernandes certainly contributed to that. He passed the ball leading to Casemiro's opening goal against Fulham from a corner kick and is currently leading the list of Premier League players with 12 assists for teammates this season - this is his best achievement in a season, equal to the 2020-2021 season.
Cunha is another United player in good form, scoring 5 goals in the last 9 Premier League games. Since the first match on December 15 against Bournemouth, no player has scored more goals than this striker in the Premier League.
Regarding the squad situation, on Man United's side, Mason Mount is expected to return "very soon" after a minor injury, but Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt will be out of action at least until the end of February 2026.
Spurs are leading the Premier League table in some sense - but that is the injury ranking, unfortunately for Frank, when currently there are 13 players who are sidelined and there is still no specific return date for names like Dejan Kulusevski and Kevin Danso.
Solanke and defender Djed Spence are both injured in their calves, and both players will be assessed to see if they are fit enough to play at Old Trafford.
Defender duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven - who later had an impressive performance at Old Trafford last season - will also have to undergo late fitness tests, but Frank predicts both will be eligible to play.

Man United vs Tottenham head-to-head statistics
The first leg of this season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw. Mbeumo scored to help Man United take the lead, but Mathys Tel equalized for Tottenham in the 84th minute, before Richarlison reversed the game for Spurs with a goal in the 90+1 minute. However, Matthijs de Ligt jumped high to head five minutes later, helping Man United get 1 point.
Last season, Tottenham won this match with a score of 3-0, with Van de Ven's brilliance in both defense and attack. But only once in the Premier League era, the Spurs won consecutively away from home against United at Old Trafford.
Man United have not won in the last six matches against Tottenham in the Premier League, drawing and losing three matches - this is their longest winless streak against Spurs. However, with their high form, they are confident that they will break the jinx to defeat Tottenham.
The Man United vs Tottenham match will take place at 7:30 PM on February 7.
