Liverpool could see their two star strikers leave this summer, regardless of what happens to Mohamed Salah. Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez both attracted attention outside the Premier League, and could lead to them leaving Anfield.
Salah has not renewed his contract with Liverpool as it will expire after the 2024-2025 season ends. The Reds could have to add an attack even if the Egyptian signs a new contract. That could see sporting director Richard Hughes face a busy transfer window.
Barcelona is still keeping an eye on Luis Diaz and plans to strengthen their attack in the coming months. "super-shark" Jorge Mendes - who played a key role in Diaz's move to Anfield in 2022 - has always had a close relationship with the members of the Blaugrana's board.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League is said to still be interested in Darwin Nunez. They are not concerned about the Uruguayan striker's refusal to accept the offer in January this year. Saudi Arabian teams are expected to invest heavily again in the summer of 2025. However, any team that wants Nunez's signature will have to compete with Atletico Madrid.
It seems that only the futures of Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are guaranteed at Anfield. Both will be happy to stay at Liverpool despite having had a difficult season with injuries.
While the attack may soon need a reform, the Kop's concern seems to be mainly focused on full-backs. Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
Up front, Alexander Isak is perhaps the top priority of the "Red Brigade". The Newcastle striker just scored against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley. Meanwhile, midfielder Matheus Cunha has also been linked with a move to Anfield.

And while Cunha has a release clause, Newcastle have no plans to sell Isak. The Magpies want to keep the Swedish striker to stay to nurture their greater ambitions in the coming seasons.
After two quiet transfer windows, manager Arne Slot has stressed that the summer of 2025 will be busier at Anfield. The Dutch strategist wants to ensure Liverpool can compete on many fronts.
"Liverpool have to compete for the championship, we have to compete for the Champions League. I hope I can maintain the club at that level.
I know people sometimes wonder about this. They didn't see us operate much in the transfer market in the summer of 2024 and now it's the whole winter. There is a reason for that, because we are happy with the squad. But I know for sure we will strive to strengthen in the summer of 2025," Slot said earlier this year.
