Everton are monitoring Jack Grealish at Manchester City as the midfielder is set to leave the Etihad Stadium. The Toffees want to bring Grealish to Merseyside, although there have been no talks on the move.
The 29-year-old will be left out of the Man City squad for the FIFA Club World in the US this summer. Grealish and the Citizens have won the Premier League three times, but have seen their influence weaken in recent two seasons.
The former Aston Villa player has only played seven times in the Premier League in the 2024-2025 season. The Citizens are said to be willing to accept an offer worth £40 million, a loss of £60 million compared to the initial recruitment fee.

However, Grealish's salary could cause problems for any deal. The star's £300,000-a-week salary will be a major barrier for teams that want to recruit him.
Therefore, Everton can negotiate with Man City to borrow Grealish instead of buying it out. Newcastle have also been linked with the England international. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will consider recruiting Grealish if Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman leave.
England manager Thomas Tuchel said Grealish should play more regularly if he is to keep his hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup alive.
"I love Jack Grealish because of his personality and of course his talent. He is a very unique player who can endure great pressure on the pitch.
He was never afraid of pressure, but the opposite. He has matured through big games but he is the player who needs more minutes, minutes and minutes on the pitch. Simply put, he hasn't played regularly for a long time. That is basically the case. nothing changes," Tuchel said of Grealish.

As for Pep Guardiola, he also agrees with Tuchel's assessment. "Of course, Jack Grealish has to play. He's an incredible player, playing every three days. That hasn't happened this season and last season. He needs to do it, with us or somewhere.
This is a question for Grealish, his agent and the club. If he stays, everything will be fine and he will fight like the first days, but not today" - the Spanish captain said.
Man City could have to pay part of Grealish's salary if they want him to join Newcastle on loan. This will be a bottleneck that makes it difficult for this deal to be completed soon.
