Overview
Continuing the competition that has lasted since 1929, Torino's latest attempt to win the della Mole Derby ended in disappointment, despite still being able to hold their opponent to a draw with Juventus in a difficult away trip.
It was Torino's third consecutive draw - after similar results against Bologna and Pisa. Marco Baroni's side have barely poses much of a threat to their long-time arch-rivals. However, they still maintained an unbeaten streak thanks to a resilient defense.
Granata have only suffered a single defeat since September, at Parma, and are now closer to the top of the table than the Serie A relegation zone. In addition, they are also looking forward to the Coppa Italia round of 16 against Roma early next year.
With 14 points after 11 rounds, Torino has recovered from a slow opening period and will play at home in three of the next four matches.
In the immediate future, they will face another mid-level opponent who also aims to compete for a place in the European Cup. However, Como has stronger investment conditions in the transfer market.
Como continue to show that they are an invincible team at Stadio Sinigaglia this season. Not only scoring 3 goals after 2 home matches in Coppa Italia, Lariani's fortress has truly become a solid support in Serie A with 3 wins and 3 draws so far.
Most recently, Cesc Fabregas' team was held to a 0-0 draw by Cagliari, thereby extending their unbeaten streak to 10 in all competitions.
Before the trip to Turin, one of the few aspects they need to improve is the ability to earn points away from home, when they have only had one away win in the 2025-2026 season.
Como have drawn 3 of their last 4 matches, including an impressive performance against defending champion Napoli. However, they understand that if they want to compete for a place in the European Cup, away results need to be better.
However, with 18 points earned since the beginning of the season, the Lombardy team is still showing great progress of a team that only returned to Serie A last year.
Personnel situation
Torino will not have the service of first striker Giovanni Simeone, as the striker will be out for another two weeks with a thigh injury. Veteran striker Duvan Zapata is likely to replace him.
On the left wing, the ability to play of experienced defender Cristiano Biraghi is still uncertain, while Ivan Ilic can recover from the knee injury he suffered while on international duty with Serbia.
In goal, number one goalkeeper Franco Israel is ready to return after 4 absences. However, Alberto paleari could continue to be given the opportunity after his recent impressive performances.
On the away team's side, Nico Paz is leading Como's scoring list, with four goals in Serie A this season.
Paz will play a supporting role for Alvaro Morata or Tasos Douvikas in attack, where Assane Diao on the right wing will be absent due to a hamstring injury.
Sergi Roberto, Edoardo Goldaniga and Alberto Dossena are also unable to attend, but Fabregas still has many personnel options in hand.
Expected lineup:
Torino: paleari, Ismajli, Maripan, Coco, Pedersen, Casadei, Asllani, Vlasic, Lazaro, Adams, Zapata.
Como: Butez, Smolcic, Ramon, Carlos, province, Perrone, Caqueret, Addai, Paz, Rodriguez, Morata.
The match between Torino and Como takes place at 0:30 am on November 25 (Vietnam time).
