Cristiano Ronaldo has shown his intention to continue to be with Juventus for at least another season to be determined to win the Serie A championship for the third consecutive year. In his career, Ronaldo has only won 3 consecutive national championships once, when he was playing for Manchester United (2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09).
Ronaldo has 6 years at Man United and won the Premier League 3 times, while with 9 years at Real Madrid, he has only won the La Liga 2 times.
Recently, the Portuguese superstar has often been linked with a transfer rumor to leave Turin. However, after the 2019-20 win, he announced that he would have a third season in Italy.
Two years ago, Ronaldo unexpectedly left Real Madrid for Juve. The deal worth up to 100 million Euros surprised many people because he is 33 years old. However, CR7 still maintains its strength despite entering the downward phase of his career.
He still scored 21 goals in his first season in Serie A (2018-19), before affirming his class this season with 31 goals despite being 35 years old. He has only lost to Ciro Immobile and Robert Lewandowski in the European goalscoring race.
Although Juve was crowned in Italy, there are still speculations that Ronaldo may take another journey, as his recent relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri has been quite tense.
But in the end, Ronaldo spoke up to decide the future. On Instagram, along with a photo celebrating his teammates, Ronaldo wrote: "Happy with Juventus' recent 2 wins in 9 consecutive Serie A titles.
It seems easy but it is not. Every year, with talent, dedication and hard work, you can achieve your goals and become better than before. Towards my third victory".
Before aiming for that goal, Ronaldo and his teammates still have an important task ahead of them, the Champions League, to end the 24-year wait of the old Mrs. Lam.
This season, Juve have reached the round of 16, played the first leg at Lyon and lost 0-1. They still have a chance to come back when playing at home in the second leg, when the Champions League returns this weekend.
If they successfully come back, Juve will meet the winning team in the match between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
