Ruben Amorim was not fired even when Man United lost to Tottenham
Man United will face Tottenham in the Europa League final after both teams have gone through a disappointing Premier League campaign.
Coach Ruben Amorim will not be fired by Manchester United even if they lose the Europa League final. Man United's bosses believe it would be unfair to force Amorim to pay the price for a disastrous Premier League campaign that left the "Red Devils" finishing at their lowest position in 50 years.
Man United are ready to give the 40-year-old strategist a chance next season to promote his method. However, there was some disappointment at Old Trafford with the Portuguese coach's honest admission that the job could be too much for him.
Especially as Man United have a chance to save their season by defeating Tottenham in the Europa League final to qualify for the Champions League.

M.U's recruitment team has made two lists of transfer targets. A list would be made if Amorim's side brought in £100 million from their Europa League win. The remaining list will be more modest when Man United is absent from the European Cup next season.
Both transfer plans are designed to create a more complete Man United this season. They have lost 13 of their 26 Premier League games since Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag in November last year.
Amorim's brutal assessment that he could be the worst manager in the club's history has led to concerns that the tactician will leave at the end of the season.
Man United will still be looking for assurance that the former Sporting Lisbon coach has no intention of leaving before they make any moves in the summer of 2025 in the transfer market. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to be very impressed with Amorim's frankness.
Ratcliffe has harshly criticized the infrastructure after spending £1.27 billion to buy a stake in the club 14 months ago. The British billionaire has endured the widespread anger of the Glazer family, who are still co-owners of Man United.

Ratcliffe, CEO Omar Berrada and technical director Jason Wilcox will let Amorim decide on player buybacks. But with Amorim having to commit to a long-term relationship, Man United are avoiding having to look for a third new coach in less than a year.
"We admit that. But nothing will change this season. The best way is to prepare for the final, try to win the championship, and then prepare for the next season.
We have struggled a lot this season and there is nothing we can do about that. That is the past. We need to look at the present, prepare for the final and then prepare for the next season," Amorim said.
