Aston Villa are said to be considering a shocking move to recruit Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian midfielder has confirmed he will leave Manchester City this summer after his contract expires.
De Bruyne has been one of Man City's most influential players of the past decade. According to Sky Sports, the Midlands club has had "internal discussions" about the possibility of recruiting De Bruyne. Having De Bruyne will be a big success for Villa. They are trying to qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive season under coach Unai Emery.

It depends on when you talk to people about the projects," De Bruyne said after Man City's 2-0 win over Everton on 19 April.
De Bruyne continued to imply that he did not agree with Man City's decision to part ways. The 33-year-old feels he is still capable of contributing to the reigning Premier League champions.
"I was a bit shocked. I have not received any offers from them all year. That is the club's decision. I still think I am capable of playing at this level, but I also understand that the club has its own reasons" - the Belgian midfielder added.
Is De Bruyne ready to start a new chapter at Villa Park? That will not be an easy question to answer at this time. However, with their reach in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, Villa will certainly be one of the attractive destinations that Kevin De Bruyne can consider.
