A director died in a mine in Cao Bang

Cao Bang - A Director of mangan mine in Cao Bang died of suspected suffocation.

On July 26, information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Cao Bang province said that a fatal accident had recently occurred in Vinh Khai hamlet, Quang Han commune.

The victim, Mr. Nguyen Van Tr (born in 21, hometown in An Khanh commune, Thai Nguyen province) - Executive Director of mangan Ban Mac - Pac Riek mine, died during a survey in the mine area's mine tunnel.

Accordingly, the incident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on July 20, at that time, Mr. Tr and three engineers went down to the well in zone 2 of the mine to conduct surveys and measurements after completing the work in zone 1.

Before that, the gas pumping system in the tunnel had been operated for about 20 minutes. Mr. Tr was the one who went down to the tunnel first to check the mining area.

However, after a period of not seeing him return, a person in the group returned to look and discovered him lying unconscious, about 3-4 meters from the well.

Although he was given first aid and taken to the emergency room immediately afterwards, Mr. Tr did not survive. The initial cause was determined to be suffocation. The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.

mangan Ban Mac - Pac Rec mine was licensed by the People's Committee of Cao Bang province to Cao Bang Mango Joint Stock Company to exploit from October 25, 2022, with an area of 26 hectares, with a designed capacity of 3,000 tons of raw ore per year, according to the tunnel exploitation method.
