Nam Dinh Club continued to show impressive form when defeating host Bangkok United with a score of 4-1 in the group stage of the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup C1, taking place on the evening of December 18 at Thammasat Stadium.
The two teams entered the game cautiously, creating a balanced game in the first 20 minutes. However, towards the end of the first half, Nam Dinh showed more cohesion and sharpness.
In the 43rd minute, taking advantage of the mistake of Bangkok United's defense, center back Lucas quickly finished to open the score for the Vietnamese representative.
Entering the second half, Nam Dinh continued to push up their formation and create great pressure. In the 49th minute, from a quick dribble on the left wing by Percy Tau, Xuan Son finished accurately, raising the score to 2-0.

Not stopping there, in the 58th minute, Ngoc Son fired a beautiful one-touch shot, increasing the gap to three goals after the ball bounced out from Percy Tau's shot.
Despite their efforts to attack, Bangkok United only scored an honorary goal in the 84th minute with a close-range header after a corner kick. However, in extra time, Xuan Son ended his brilliant performance with a technical solo and a decisive shot, sealing a 4-1 victory for Nam Dinh.
This result helped Nam Dinh consolidate their position in the group leading the group, thereby opening up a great opportunity to win a ticket to continue. Meanwhile, Bangkok United will have to wait until the final match to hope to pass the group stage.
