In the third match of the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship, the Vietnamese futsal team won a resounding 14-0 victory over the weakest opponent in the group, Brunei.
Thus, with 3 wins each, Thailand and Vietnam will be the two representatives to enter the semi-finals in Group B. In the final match of the group stage, the two teams will face each other tomorrow, November 6.
Vietnam will have to win if they want to top the group. Meanwhile, for the home team, a draw is enough for them to gain an advantage in advancing.
In Group B, only the Indonesian futsal team is certain to enter the semi-finals after 2 wins. The remaining position is a competition between Myanmar and Australia.
The semi-finals will take place on November 8, with the final on November 10. Thailand dominates the tournament, winning 16 of the 17 editions, with the exception of Indonesia, who won in 2010.
