On November 8, the Air Defense - Air Force Service held a conference to announce the decision of the Minister of National Defense on merging and reorganizing the Logistics Department and the Technical Department into the Logistics - Technical Department. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Service chaired the conference.
At the conference, Colonel Vu Dai Duong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force, announced the decision of the Minister of National Defense on merging and reorganizing the Logistics Department and the Technical Department into the Logistics - Technical Department.
At the same time, the decision of the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army on promulgating the organization and staffing chart of the Logistics and Engineering Department under the Air Defense - Air Force Service was announced.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force, praised the agencies under the Air Defense - Air Force for proactively coordinating to advise the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Command on policies and measures to lead and direct the preparation work in all aspects to implement the decision of the Ministry of National Defense on the merger and reorganization of the Logistics - Technical Department of the Air Defense - Air Force to ensure strictness, timeliness, synchronization, and compliance with regulations.
To continue seriously and effectively implementing the decision of the Ministry of National Defense on merging and reorganizing the Logistics and Engineering Department, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien requested the leaders and commanders of the Logistics and Engineering Department to strengthen leadership and direction, do a good job of propaganda and education on traditions, raise awareness, responsibility, determination, and build political mettle for officers and soldiers to excellently complete their tasks.
At the same time, determine determination, proactively prepare well all aspects, content, implementation methods, assign individuals in charge, consider this a key task at the end of 2024.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien emphasized the requirements and promoted the role and responsibility in the process of implementing the merger and reorganization of the Logistics and Technical Department of each agency and unit; the arrangement, assignment and use of cadres and employees must be strictly followed, following the process, while ensuring ideological stability, good implementation of policy work and subsequent tasks; good management of facilities, technical equipment and finance to avoid loss and waste, ensuring absolute safety in all activities.
