The second day of competition of the Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 National 7-a-side football tournament - Northern region (HPL-S12) took place with exciting matches.
In the focal match, the Great Club of the active entry to control the game. 14 minutes, taking advantage of the mistake of Phoenix defense, captain Tran Manh Dung scored the opening goal for the pronoun. In the second half, striker Nguyen Hoang Long doubled the gap for the HPL-S11 champion.
The turning point of the match appeared in the 51st minute when center back Van Toan received a second yellow card and left the field. Phoenix FC had the advantage of one more player, focused all their efforts on attack and brought home 2 goals to level the score.
In the extra time, Dai Tu was awarded a penalty after the opposing goalkeeper committed a foul in the penalty area. Striker Van Thai successfully took a penalty kick to seal a 3-2 victory for Dai Tu.
Another notable match is the confrontation between SHB and BIDV Quang Trung clubs. Coach Nguyen Chi Thanh's team played well and completely dominated. The brilliance of foreign player Pape Omar helped SHB defeat their opponent with a score of 6-1.
In the match at the same time, Thien Khoi and Vinataba clubs played at the same level in the first half. The situation changed when Nguyen Hung received a second yellow card and left the field, causing Vinataba to play with one less player.
With a big advantage, Le Tuan Anh and his teammates continuously attacked to win 7-1, thereby taking the lead on the rankings.
In the remaining matches between Viet Phuong Dong - Tung Anh, Dai Nam - Vang Phu Quy EOC, HG La Giang - TIG all ended in a 1-1 draw.
