On the evening of December 26, the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-final between host Singapore and the Vietnamese team took place at the Jalan Besar artificial field.
During the match, a group of fans were present in a building next to the stadium. They had a hard time watching the competition between the two teams through the ventilation window which was blocked by bars.
This has proven the attraction of the match between Singapore and Vietnam. Previously, because the capacity of Jalan Basar Stadium was only about 6,000 seats, both Singaporean and Vietnamese fans had difficulty finding tickets to watch the match live.
In addition, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) only issued about 300 tickets for away fans. Therefore, Vietnamese fans also did not have many conditions to go to the stadium to watch the match.
