Malaysian fans expressed their anger and sadness after Malaysia U17's 0-4 defeat to Vietnam U17 in the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers.

U17 Malaysia could not win a ticket to the 2026 U17 Asian Cup finals after a 0-4 defeat to U17 Vietnam in the final match of the qualifiers. "The Ma Lai Tigers" could not create pressure or breakthroughs against the home team that possessed superior strength and power.

After the match, a group of Malaysian fans present at PVF Stadium (Hung Yen) were all sad. Some people burst into tears when witnessing the failure of coach Rafael Jorda and his team.

On social media, thousands of Malaysian fans expressed their anger and flooded the fanpage of the Football Association of this country (FAM). In the article posting the results, fans left many satirical comments, especially in the context of FAM having just received a penalty for the naturalized player scandal.

A fan commented: "No Argentine, Dutch, Brazilian players... no party at all".

Some other notable comments such as: "This is the real result of Malaysian football, the victory over Vietnam in the Asian Cup qualifiers was just... an accident"; "The player was inless, wasted time and money of the world. Malaysian football is getting worse"; "The whole team plays like a child who has never studied sports. How far is this going? "...

Regarding U17 Vietnam, coach Cristiano Roland and his team won tickets to the final round with a record of 5 wins, scoring 30 goals and conceding none.

According to the plan, the final round is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from May 7 to May 24, 2026 with 16 teams.
