On the evening of September 6th, midfielder Nguyen Trong Dai attracted attention when posting a job search post on his personal page.
Everyone, anyone who has a good job, easy to do, please refer to it for me! ", wrote the former captain of U20 Vietnam.
This short sharing immediately received attention from Vietnamese football fans, especially those who had followed the journey of the midfielder born in 1997. Before the comments, the former player showed an attitude of receptiveness and willingness to listen.
Trong Dai's search for a new job shows a significant change compared to the time when he was considered one of the outstanding talents of Vietnamese youth football.
In 2016, Trong Dai emerged in the colors of the Vietnamese youth teams when he could play in the center-back or central midfielder position. His strength lies in his ability to read situations, support defense and organize play.
When wearing the U19 Vietnam jersey, Trong Dai was once given the captain's armband in a generation where many players later became stars such as Quang Hai or Hoang Duc.
Trong Dai's most memorable mark is winning the right to participate in the FIFA U20 World Cup 2017 finals with U19 Vietnam in Korea. A year later, he continued to be named in the U23 Vietnam squad to participate in the tournament in Changzhou (China), a tournament where coach Park Hang-seo's team created a special feat with the runner-up title.
At the club level, Trong Dai once wore the jersey of The Cong Viettel and contributed to the promotion journey of the military team, the peak of the V.League 2020 championship. At that time, this midfielder was expected to continue to develop to become an important factor of Vietnamese football.
But after a period of sublimation, Trong Dai's career began to decline. Prolonged injuries and issues related to living discipline and stories outside the field significantly affected his career.
After leaving The Cong Viettel in mid-2022, midfielder Trong Dai successively moved to Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Nam Dinh and Hai Phong. However, successive departures made his professional playing path not smooth.
No longer appearing regularly in top leagues, Trong Dai gradually left the attention of professional teams. Last season, he wore the Long An FC shirt in the National First Division but also left after the season ended.
On his personal page, Trong Dai revealed that he will join an amateur football team to participate in the National 7-a-side Football Tournament in the near future.
