On December 26, the 9th Anniversary Congress of the Vietnam Football Federation in 2025 (term 2022 - 2026) took place at the VFF Headquarters.
This is an important opportunity for members to look back and comprehensively evaluate the results of work in 2025; at the same time, promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, discussion and agree on directions and tasks for 2026, ensuring effective implementation of the goals of the 9th VFF term.

Accordingly, the Congress agreed to dismiss Mr. Cao Tien Doan from the position of Member of the VFF Executive Committee, term IX (term 2022-2026) according to the VFF Charter and keep the number of 16 Members as at present, without electing additional members until the 10th VFF Congress is held.
The Congress also agreed to end the VFF membership of 8 members: Yen Bai Provincial Football Federation, Binh Duong Provincial Football Federation, Quang Nam Club, Hoa Binh Club, Phu Tho Club, Dong Nai Club, Tien Giang Club, Futsal Savinest Khanh Hoa Club.
In addition, the Congress agreed to admit 3 units as VFF members: Xuan Thien Phu Tho Club, Quang Ninh Club and Bac Ninh Club.

Regarding the main contents, the Congress approved the 2025 Work Summary Reports and the direction for implementing VFF's tasks in 2026; Reviewing the work of the VFF Executive Committee at the VFF 2025 Annual Congress, Session IV; Assessing the professional work of the national football teams in 2025 and some key tasks in 2026; Organizing the 2025-2026 National Professional Football Tournaments and the expected plan to organize the 2026-2026 National Professional Football Tournaments; VFF's 2024 finances have been audited; VFF's financial work and funding mobilization in 2025; Approving the results of VFF's 2025 business activities and the VFF's 2026 financial budget estimates; Consolidating the content of amending and supplementing Article 69 of the Regulations (amending and supplementing VFF), assigning VFF Executive Committee to report to competent state football agencies and international organizations.

In addition, the Congress agreed to assign the VFF Executive Committee to receive the instructions of the leaders of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the contributions of the delegates at the Congress to complete the documents, develop an action program, and plan to implement tasks for 2026.
Before concluding the Congress, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan thanked and accepted the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the delegates.
This is an important basis for the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation to continue to improve the action program, strengthen solutions and effectively implement the goals and tasks of developing Vietnamese football in the coming time.
