U23 Vietnam officially successfully defended their Southeast Asian U23 championship title, after defeating U23 Indonesia in the final with a score of 1-0.
With an impressive performance throughout the tournament, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac was honored as "Best Player of the tournament".
Sharing after the home team's championship achievement, Dinh Bac said: "There is no greater happiness than now. Winning the championship right in Indonesia is truly a wonderful experience.
Despite having to play in front of 35,000 spectators, we overcame the pressure and did what we wanted. The whole team is very proud of this achievement".
In this year's tournament, Dinh Bac scored 2 goals after 4 matches. He is always the mainstay in the attack of U23 Vietnam.
In the match against U23 Cambodia in the group stage, the striker from the Hanoi Police club scored 1 goal and won the title of Best Player of the match.
In the final match against U23 Indonesia, although he did not directly score, his energetic, intelligent playing style and great influence helped Dinh Bac continue to be voted the Best Player of the match.
Previously, the striker born in 2004 was injured during the national team training session in March 2025. Returning after nearly 3 months of treatment, Dinh Bac proved his worth and courage, and then shone impressively in the U23 Vietnam jersey.
