U23 Vietnam wins championship with all wins

U23 Vietnam has won all 4 matches in the journey to defend the throne at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Football Tournament.

In the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team had to face a huge challenge called U23 Indonesia right at the home stadium of the opponent.

However, their courage and confidence helped Khuat Van Khang and his teammates overcome the pressure. Nguyen Cong Phuong's only goal in the 36th minute became a golden moment, bringing the well-deserved championship to the "Golden Star Warriors".

The journey to the championship of U23 Vietnam in this tournament is very impressive. In the opening match of the group stage, Mr. Kim Sang-sik's team defeated U23 Laos with a score of 3-0.

Then, despite some difficulties against U23 Cambodia, U23 Vietnam still won with a close score of 2-1 to enter the semi-finals as the top team.

Facing the Philippines U23 in the semi-finals, Vietnam U23 was behind in the 36th minute. However, the timely brilliance of Dinh Bac and Xuan Bac helped the team successfully come back, winning a ticket to the final for the third consecutive time.

The victory over U23 Indonesia in the final match completed the all-win journey of U23 Vietnam in this tournament. This is the first time in 20 years - since the miracle of U23 Thailand in 2005 - a team that won all matches (in the official 90 minutes) to step up to the championship.

With this impressive achievement, U23 Vietnam not only successfully defended the throne but also affirmed its position as the number one in the region at the U23 level.
