Striker Dinh Bac affirmed that competition at U22 Vietnam is the motivation for him to make more efforts after a long period of absence due to injury.

During the afternoon training session on July 8, young striker Dinh Bac shared about the preparation process of U22 Vietnam for the upcoming U23 Southeast Asian tournament.

The striker born in 2004 emphasized competition in the squad and personal determination after a long period of absence due to injury.

"Competition helps the whole team, whoever performs well will be selected. Each player must try to show themselves to be in the final list, said Dinh Bac.

The striker from the Hanoi Police Department added: "My goal is to always want to contribute to the color of the flag and shirt, so I have to try very hard. I need to try harder than my teammates because after a long injury break, I can be in the final list and play.

Sharing about the training period of U22 Vietnam, Dinh Bac highly appreciated the value of the two friendly matches with U23 Taiwan (China), and affirmed that the team is actively preparing both mentally and professionally under the guidance of coach Kim Sang-sik.

The two friendly matches with U23 Taiwan (China) are very valuable, helping the whole team have a better connection before the U23 Southeast Asian tournament. During the training sessions, Mr. Kim and the coaching staff always convey fighting spirit and training awareness so that the whole team can maintain the best quality.

Coach Kim Sang-sik also always emphasizes that the whole team must play fiercely and enthusiastically, even in friendly matches. In terms of expertise, he has conveyed a lot about passing the ball and controlling the ball key factors for effective playing style, said Dinh Bac.

Currently, U22 Vietnam is gradually perfecting its expertise to aim for the goal of conquering the throne at the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian tournament.
