On the afternoon of December 6, the coaching staff and players of U22 Vietnam were present at Rajamangala Stadium to watch the match between U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos.
The coaching staff has identified direct monitoring of opponents as an important part of the preparation process for the second match at the 33rd SEA Games, when U22 Vietnam will face U22 Malaysia. This is the decisive match for the ticket to the semi-finals of this year's Congress.
Before that, Khuat Van Khang and his teammates had a favorable start when they won 2-1 against U22 Laos in the opening match. However, right after the match, coach Kim Sang-sik said that this result did not fully reflect the problems that needed to be overcome, especially the quality of the finishing phases.
"Although we won, our attack still has areas to improve. The whole team will continue to adjust to best prepare for the match against Malaysia," the Korean strategist emphasized.
On the same morning, U22 Vietnam still maintained the training session as planned despite the hot weather in Bangkok. The training program focuses on perfecting the ability to handle the ball at high speed, the attack coordination exercises and the goal-scoring section.
With a thorough analysis of Malaysia's performance and maintaining a high intensity of training, U22 Vietnam aims to improve scoring performance in the upcoming match. Mr. Kim Sang-sik's team aims to win to qualify for the 33rd SEA Games.
The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Malaysia will take place at 4:00 p.m. on December 11.
