This is the second time Brandao has worn the Hoang Anh Gia Lai shirt. The striker has played for the mountain town team for 3 seasons from 2021 to 2023. During those 3 seasons, Washington Brandao scored 7 goals.
Before returning to Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Brandao went to Bangladesh to play for Abahani Limited Dhaka club, then Malaysia's Kelantan Darul Naim team. The striker born in 1990 is highly regarded for his aggressive playing style and fearlessness in collisions.
Before reuniting with Brandao, Hoang Anh Gia Lai said goodbye to striker Jeferson, who moved to Thailand. If all paperwork is completed, Brandao can play for Hoang Anh Gia Lai this week, in the match against Hanoi FC in round 11 of V.League 2024-2025 on January 24.
