Recently, the Hanoi FC homepage posted a video with the shares of head coach Makoto Teguramori. In addition to preparing for the new season, the Japanese coach also has thoughts about the ambition and development of domestic players in Vietnam.
"V.League is the most professional football environment in Vietnam, but many players are too satisfied with the present. They need to be more confident, strive to develop themselves and expand their vision to the world. They can only improve themselves by setting bigger goals," Mr. Teguramori frankly said.
In addition to the issue of ambition, he also pointed out one of the major weaknesses of V.League, which is the lack of stability in the performance of the teams. This does not only appear in the championship group but also in the relegation teams.
Coach Teguramori said: "Hanoi FC is no exception. To be able to maintain stability and compete effectively, we need to improve many factors, from tactics, match control to spirit and the ability to respond to each situation".

The 0-3 loss to Nam Dinh in round 21 of V.League 2024-2025 caused Hanoi FC to lose the right to decide. This match made the Japanese coach realize that tactics were not everything. Factors such as calmness and the ability to cope with unexpected situations will determine the winner.
Although he did not win any title in the 2024-2025 season, Hanoi FC still decided to extend his contract, because simply put, there is no better choice at the moment.
Sharing about the future, coach Teguramori expressed his desire to help Hanoi FC regain what they have lost and reach international level. He said: "I want the team to win the championship and aim for Asia. Together, we can build a united team, from which good results will come".
Currently, Hanoi FC is in the process of training in Hai Phong to prepare for the new season, with a quality addition, Brazilian midfielder Hendrio. Their season will begin with a match against Ho Chi Minh City Police on August 15.
Coach Makoto Teguramori will lead Hanoi FC from February 2025, replacing interim coach Hoang Van Phuc. He helped the team win 9, draw 2 and lose 2 in the second leg to win the V.League 2024-2025 runner-up position.
