Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, on behalf of VFF, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha welcomed the teams present at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and thanked the centers and clubs for actively preparing to participate in the tournament.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha said that over the past 8 years, the National U16 Women's Football Tournament has affirmed its important role in the youth women's football competition system, improving quality and dedication, and being a playground for young players to have the opportunity to practice and accumulate experience, while adding strength to the upper team. Also from the youth women's football tournaments, new factors have been discovered and supplemented for the U16 women's team, U19 women's team and the national women's team.
VFF believes that with the efforts in organization, with the careful preparation of the teams, the support of partners and the encouragement of fans, the 2025 National U16 Women's Football Tournament will have high professional quality, creating a vibrant and attractive competition with the spirit of fair-play.
The opening match is a confrontation between defending champions Hanoi and Son La. The late match between rookie Zantino Vinh Phuc and Phong Phu Ha Nam will take place at 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
