At 3:00 p.m. today (May 21), Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will face Wuhan Jiangda in the AFC Champions League semi-finals (Asian Cup C1).
Accordingly, before winning a ticket to the semi-finals, the Vietnamese representative experienced an emotional match in the quarter-finals at Thong Nhat Stadium at the end of March.
Coach Nguyen Hong Pham and his team were led by opponent Abu Dhabi Country with a gap of 3-0 in the first half. But in the second half, Huynh Nhu and her teammates played bravely and made efforts to come back to defeat the UAE representative with a score of 5-4.
Ho Chi Minh City's opponent in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup C1 is Wuhan Jiangda. The team from China defeated Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) in the semi-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout.
In fact, Wuhan Jiangda is not too strong. Since the beginning of the tournament, they have scored 8 goals but 7 of them against Sabah - a team that is much weaker (in the final match of the group stage). This shows that Wuhan Jiangda's attack is not too sharp.
In the domestic arena, they also did not have a positive result at the recently concluded National Sports Festival.
The match between Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club and Wuhan Jiangda in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup C1 takes place at 3:00 p.m. today (May 21) and will be broadcast live on K+.
