On the evening of March 22, the Ho Chi Minh City women's team received a bonus of 700 million VND after reaching the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League for women.

Facing Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) in the quarter-finals of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League for women on the evening of March 22 at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City women's club showed their resilience.

The team from the city named after Uncle Ho fell behind 0-3 after the end of the first half. However, their uncompromising efforts helped Huynh Nhu and her teammates win an impressive comeback 5-4 in the 90 minutes of the official match.

To celebrate the spirit of fighting without giving up, right after the match, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to reward the Ho Chi Minh City women's club with 500 million VND. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) also awarded coach Nguyen Hong Pham and his team 200 million VND.

Sharing at the post-match press conference, coach Nguyen Hong Pham could not hide his happiness. He said: "Not only me but the entire coaching staff and substitutes all have indescribable emotions. I am very happy with such a spectacular victory.

Regarding the adjustments after the home team was behind 0-3 after the first half, Mr. Pham said: "The team showed signs of psychological tension from the 3rd minute to the 15th minute. From the 20th minute onwards, I adjusted personnel and at break time I encouraged you, there is nothing, anything can happen, in football you have to try your best".
