HCMC women's team meets with China representative in the Asian Cup 1 semi-finals

Wuhan Jiangda (China) is the opponent of Ho Chi Minh City women's club in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League for women (commonly known as the Asian Cup C1 Women) 2024-2025.

In the remaining quarter-final match taking place on the afternoon of March 23 (Vietnam time), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) and Wuhan Jiangda (China) gave fans 120 minutes of dramatic play but no goals were scored.

On the 11m penalty spot, the team from China won 6-5, thereby entering the semi-finals.

Thus, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will meet opponent Wuhan Jiangda in the upcoming semi-final match. Notably, Wuhan Jiangda lost to Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) with a score of 1-2. Abu Dhabi Country was the team that the Ho Chi Minh City women's team defeated in a thrilling match last night (23).

At Thong Nhat Stadium, Huynh Nhu and her teammates came back to win 5-4, bringing the team to the semi-finals of the continental tournament for the first time in history.

With this outstanding achievement, the HCMC women's players have received worthy awards. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has decided to reward the entire team with 200 million VND, while the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports has rewarded 100 million VND.

Previously, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) gave a "hot" reward of VND500 million, while the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) awarded VND200 million.

The 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Women's Semi-final between Wuhan Jiangda and Ho Chi Minh City will take place on May 21.
