She shared on the Asian Football Confederation's homepage: "We have gone through challenging matches and achieved important results in the previous rounds.

Our quarter-final saw us fall three goals behind, but we gave our 200% to come back.

The success of that match became a great source of motivation for the whole team and further strengthened our belief in the ability to overcome difficulties".

Every team in this competition is very professional and difficult to face, and Wuhan Jiangda will be another big challenge. Facing them away will certainly be a challenge.

They are already a strong team, with many quality domestic and foreign players, but in football, anything can happen until the referee blows the whistle to end the match.

We also have talented players with strong individual qualities, but our biggest strength is solidarity. As long as we play together, I believe that both teams have equal positions, to compete for a place in the final match, Hong Nhung confidently said.

Before participating in the semi-finals of the continental tournament, Hong Nhung and her teammates won the National Cup. According to her, that is a great source of motivation for the HCMC women's team to aim for a miracle in the Asian Cup C1.

She said: The victory at the National Women's Football Cup is the result of careful preparation for the coaching team. The whole team has worked very hard towards the continental tournament.

The match against Wuhan Jiangda will be very difficult, but we are ready. The victory in the AFC Women's Champions League will be a historic moment for the whole country.

We are proud to be the first Vietnamese club to participate in the continental arena and if we win the first championship, it will be an honor for the fans".

The semi-final match of the Asian Cup C1 between Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club and Wuhan Jiangda will take place at 15:00 on May 21.
