Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Anh Tu takes on the role of Head of the AFC delegation to manage beach soccer at the 2026 Asian Beach Games.

This is a position that is coordinating, in charge of all professional activities and organization of the competition content, and also shows the assessment of the Asian Football Confederation for the management capacity of Vietnamese football leaders.

In the technical meeting held on April 22, Mr. Tran Anh Tu, representing AFC, sent a message to the participating teams, emphasizing the goal of ensuring professionalism and fair competition spirit.

He also acknowledged the preparation of the local organizing committee, from facilities to support forces, to meet the requirements of operating the tournament according to continental standards.

Beach soccer at this year's Games has 7 teams participating, divided into 2 groups. Group A includes China, Oman and Palestine; Group B includes Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and UAE.

According to the format, teams compete in a round-robin format in each group, selecting the top 2 teams to enter the semi-finals. The two winning teams will compete for the gold medal, and the two losing teams will play the third-place match.

According to the schedule, the matches will take place from April 23 to 29 in Sanya, Hainan (China). The organization is deployed synchronously, including the stadium, schedule and logistics conditions, to ensure progress and professional quality.

Currently, Mr. Tran Anh Tu is a member of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee of the AFC. For many years, he has participated in building the competition system and developing the futsal force in Vietnam, contributing to improving the professional quality and position of the team in regional and international tournaments.
