Engineers accumulate experience at Tan Son Nhat airport
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Truong Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of Long Thanh International Airport (abbreviated as Long Thanh airport) said that the airport had 4 recruitment rounds in 2025, and so far has basically ensured a sufficient number of engineers and technicians in various industries.

Currently, the total number of personnel at the airport is nearly 200 people, of which engineers and technicians are more than 100 people and are working in reality at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and at the Long Thanh International Airport Project to accumulate experience; at the same time, learn from the new technical systems equipped in the near future when Long Thanh airport goes into operation, the plan is expected at the end of 2026.
Therefore, in 2026, Long Thanh International Airport will continue to recruit positions related to safety, operation, and equipment operators to consolidate the apparatus, with a total expected number to continue recruiting about 400 workers.

According to the recruitment notice for Long Thanh International Airport on April 16, phase 1 - phase 1, Long Thanh airport needs to recruit positions such as: aviation safety specialists; safety staff; service quality control specialists; drivers and ground equipment operators (electric vehicles, self-propelled cranes, firefighters, ambulances); fire prevention and fighting staff, maintenance staff, technical equipment repair staff; technical equipment operators.
According to the ACV Recruitment Council, the salary, bonus, and income regime are attractive when working at Long Thanh airport, salary is not lower than 15 million VND/month and is trained and developed skills suitable for the job position.
Candidate with good expertise but failing in foreign languages
Also according to Mr. Truong Trung Thanh, currently the number of workers recruited to work at Long Thanh airport has not yet reached expectations.

Mr. Thanh said that the ACV Recruitment Council has actively carried out communication work on the conditions and input standards for working at Long Thanh airport through many channels. In August 2025, ACV also coordinated with Dong Nai province to organize the Long Thanh International Airport Job Fair with the participation of thousands of candidates. During the recruitment process, many candidates met professional requirements but failed the foreign language proficiency requirement because many positions require a minimum TOEIC foreign language proficiency of 300 or higher.
According to Mr. Thanh, some general labor positions do not require high foreign language proficiency, but candidates also do not meet the requirements. "In fact, candidates meet professional and technical needs well but have not met foreign language requirements" - Mr. Thanh added.

Such as the position of Safety staff requiring a minimum TOEIC English proficiency of 400 or equivalent or higher; English service quality control specialist with a minimum TOEIC 500 or equivalent or higher.
According to a representative of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), regarding human resources, ACV has developed a plan to train, organize personnel to participate in familiarizing with the equipment system at the Long Thanh International Airport project; at the same time, organize practical work at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to accumulate experience and be ready for commercial operation.

Long Thanh Airport is a particularly important infrastructure project of the nation, with a total area of 5,000 hectares, a total investment of more than 16 billion USD, and is planned to reach level 4F. When all phases are completed, the airport is expected to reach a capacity of 100 million passengers/year and 5 million tons of cargo/year.
