Attending the working session, on the side of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association were Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Deputy Head in charge, Head of the inspection team, and members of the delegation. On the side of the Journalists Association of Lao Dong Newspaper were Journalist Nguyen Cam Van - Secretary of the Association, and all members of the Secretariat.
At the working session, on behalf of the Secretariat of the Branch, Journalist Nguyen Cam Van presented a report on the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Resolution of the Executive Committee of the 11th Vietnam Journalists Association; the situation of association work in 2025 and the first quarter of 2026; the preparation for the next term of the Branch Congress; as well as the results of implementing key tasks such as digital transformation in journalistic activities, application of artificial intelligence to journalism, building a cultural environment in press agencies and improving the quality of professional content.
2025 is a year with many important changes related to the organization and operation of Lao Dong Newspaper, thereby also directly impacting the operation of the Journalists Association of Lao Dong Newspaper. In that context, the Journalists Association has promptly grasped the direction, proactively adjusted the content and methods of operation to suit the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
The branch always receives close attention and direction from the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Editorial Board; the association members are united, have a sense of responsibility, and actively participate in the Association's activities. In addition, strengthening the application of technology in journalistic activities has created favorable conditions for members to improve their professional qualifications and skills. However, before the increasing demands of journalistic activities in the digital environment, members also need to regularly update knowledge and adapt to new working methods; at the same time, the organization of some Association activities is still subject to certain impacts from common practical conditions.
In 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, the Journalists Association of Lao Dong Newspaper has closely followed the direction of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the direction of the Editorial Board of Lao Dong Newspaper, proactively and synchronously deploying the Association's work activities, associated with the professional tasks of the agency, thereby achieving many positive results such as: Regularly organizing professional exchange sessions to improve skills and expertise for officials, reporters, and editors.
In which, special attention is paid to training on the application of artificial intelligence to the professional activities of the editorial office. The Branch regularly propagates and thoroughly grasps the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; orients information and propaganda according to the direction of management agencies, contributing to improving the political bravery, sense of social responsibility and civic duty of journalists. The Journalists Branch of Lao Dong Newspaper also actively participates in press awards of ministries and sectors and the National Press Award. In 2025, members of the Journalists Branch of Lao Dong Newspaper won 30 domestic and international press and press photo awards, exceeding the target set at the beginning of the year (22 awards), including many prestigious awards. In the first quarter of 2026, the Newspaper won 4 press awards at the central and local levels, including 01 A Prize of the National Press Award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award).
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Head of the delegation praised, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Branch Association. As a strong and actively and seriously operating Branch Association, the Lao Dong Newspaper Journalists Branch has clearly shown its role and responsibility in the general activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association, actively participating in the National Press Festival and some press awards with a proactive and professional spirit. Content control and maintenance of professional ethics are carried out seriously; association activities maintain order and efficiency.
The inspection team also recorded the recommendations of the Branch Association related to training and fostering journalistic nghiệp vụ, digital transformation, application of artificial intelligence and strengthening inspection and supervision activities in the new context.
Orienting in the coming time, the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association proposed that the Journalists Association of Lao Dong Newspaper continue to promote the pioneering spirit in digital transformation of the press, continue to unite, innovate and be creative; closely follow political tasks and operating principles; continue to promote digital transformation, improve the quality of content and team capacity, affirming its position as a large and prestigious press agency of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
