On April 22, the National Assembly discussed in the hall about the National Assembly's Resolution on a number of breakthrough mechanisms and policies to develop Vietnamese culture.
At the hall, delegate Trinh Thuy Mui - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literary and Art Associations - shared that along with Resolution 80 of the Politburo, the Resolution on Vietnamese Cultural Development of the National Assembly will form a strategy for developing Vietnamese culture in the digital age.
According to the delegate, the institutionalization of the Party's guidelines and policies into the National Assembly's policies and laws is very timely and synchronous, and will truly create many breakthroughs and new innovations for culture.
Literature and art are the delicate and core part of culture. The literary and artistic creative team is the core force and main force, and will also decide to create values worthy of the requirements of the times," said the delegate from Dong Thap Delegation and said that supporting literary and artistic creation is the lever to promote new creativity for artists.
This delegate said that the draft Resolution of the National Assembly is very practical and removes many bottlenecks in literary and artistic activities over the years, truly unlocking resources for culture in the digital age.
Delegate Trinh Thuy Mui shared that in fact, for nearly 10 years, many localities have been and are absorbing and implementing in a very formalistic way, merging traditional art units into the Culture and Sports Center as one focal point; or Tuong, Cheo, Cai Luong, and Drama into one focal point.
Thus, non-professionals are having to do the job of professionals, while professionals have to do the job of non-professionals" - Delegate Mui emphasized.
This person cited examples such as solo actors (main actors/dance solists) of Cheo art going to Tuong, solo actors of Tuong going to Cai luong, causing extremely regrettable consequences for traditional art, reducing professional proficiency.
Sadly, artists who are proficient in their profession, meritorious artists, and people's artists, many artists have quit their profession or gone to other freelance jobs because of injuries.
This, according to Ms. Mui, has made the most precious traditional art forms at risk of fading, fading identity and amateurizing the traditional heritage of the nation, losing the unique artistic value of each region.
Therefore, this person proposed that it is necessary to adjust the merger of traditional art units that are not suitable.
