In Official Dispatch No. 20/BDQN of Quang Nam Club sent to the Vietnam Football Federation, the Referees' Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, and the Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, Quang Nam Club proposed to change the penalty for coach Van Sy Son's two-match coaching ban to 1 match.
Regarding the situations leading to coach Van Sy Son's penalty in the match against Hanoi Police on February 15, Quang Nam club explained: "The developments on the field made Mr. Van Sy Son - head coach of Quang Nam football club somewhat upset when talking to the referees in the spirit of suggesting that it is necessary to carefully consider the situations that are considered Quang Nam players who were fouled at the sensitive time near the end of the match".

"This action has not reached the level of disciplinary action according to Decision No. 101/QD-LDBDVN dated February 18 of the Disciplinary Board. Therefore, Quang Nam Football Development Joint Stock Company - Quang Nam Football Club respectfully requests the Disciplinary Board to reduce the penalty for not being allowed to work from 2 matches to 1 match for Mr. Van Sy Son", this document emphasized.
In addition to the proposal to consider the penalty of coach Van Sy Son, Quang Nam club also proposed that the Referees' Committee study the option of not assigning referees from provinces/cities where teams are competing for relegation to ensure transparency and fairness when managing the match in the decisive stage of the season.
Quang Nam Club is currently ranked 9th on the V.League 2024-2025 rankings with 15 points after 13 matches. The 1-0 victory over Thanh Hoa on a day without the direction of coach Van Sy Son yesterday (February 19) helped this team make a significant step forward in the relegation race this season.
