On October 19, the Ministry of Public Security held a groundbreaking ceremony for the stadium project of the PVF Youth Football Training Center.
Attending the ceremony were: General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang; Politburo member, Standing member of the 14th National Party Congress Documents Subcommittee Nguyen Van Nen; Politburo member, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Politburo member, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.
Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of ministries, agencies and localities.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security - said that building PVF Stadium is an important infrastructure investment project, concretizing the strategic vision of the Party and State, the direction of General Secretary To Lam on comprehensive human development and building a strong country, an important cultural and sports institution, affirming the vision of the Ministry of Public Security for sports development, realizing the aspiration to build and develop CAND Sports sustainably and comprehensively.
"The construction location of the project was carefully selected at an important commercial gateway, converging factors such as development space and outstanding connectivity. The project will not only serve the Ministry of Public Security, but will be a center for sports, culture and tourism connection of the country and the region; designed beyond international standards for major sporting events such as the ASIAD Games, the Olympic Games, the World Cup", Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized.
The Minister also said that in the future, the project will be a multi-purpose complex including the main competition court, auxiliary exercise areas, rehabilitation centers, service, commercial and entertainment areas, providing public sports facilities, creating a healthy playground for all ages; where top-notch sports matches are held, being a place for people to participate in physical activities, improving health, making the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" a habit, a daily lifestyle.
The project is also a high-class cultural and entertainment center, organizing large-scale artistic, music and festival events, contributing to attracting investment, promoting integration, enriching the spiritual life of the people, contributing to the harmonious development of society; will become an attractive address to attract sports tourists, international events, along with a chain of accommodation, culinary, shopping services, forming a dynamic and sustainable sports economic ecosystem.
PVF Stadium is located in the heart of PVF Youth Football Training Center in Nghia Tru Commune, Hung Yen Province, invested by the Ministry of Public Security and the general contractor is Vinhomes Joint Stock Company under Vingroup Corporation.
The stadium has an area of over 55,000 m2, a capacity of 60,000 seats, including 4 main stands A, B, C, D and professional areas such as engineering, security, broadcasting operations center, press, player area, VIP area, services - cuisine.
In addition, the stadium also has an outdoor square and a modern parking lot of 18 hectares. In particular, the stadium is designed according to FIFA standards, qualified to host World Cup matches and regional tournaments.
The difference of the stadium is the giant arched design that can be closed and fully opened in just about 12 - 20 minutes, the technology is applied for the first time in Vietnam. The modern automatic open-top roof is inspired by the model and technology of AT&T Stadium (USA) - the stadium with the largest open-top roof in the world today.
The field surface will use hybrid modular grass technology - combining natural grass and artificial fiber to increase durability, rapid drainage, withstand heavy loads, and be convenient for maintenance.
Each turf can be independently removed, easily replaced or moved, helping the function of the stadium to be flexibly transformed for activities from professional sports competitions to national and international cultural and social events.
PVF Stadium, once completed, promises to become a "common home" for generations of young Vietnamese players, and at the same time, a large-scale training and competition center for the People's Public Security force, serving the work of physical training, improving health and fighting spirit for officers and soldiers.
