On the morning of December 4, former player Tran Anh Khoa suddenly passed away at the age of 33. This was a huge shock to his colleagues and students, because the day before, they were still working with Anh Khoa normally.
Mr. Khoa started his football career in Da Nang and ended his career here. During his years as a football player, he had many difficult and arduous steps.
In 2005, when he was only 14 years old, Anh Khoa participated in the National U15 tournament in the Da Nang shirt. But it was not until the semi-final that he had the opportunity to enter the field to replace his teammates and was voted the best player of the tournament.
When his future career was wide open, the midfielder had to take a break due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Shocked at the age of 20, Anh Khoa fell into a state of chaos. Luckily, he quickly recovered and returned to the National U21 finals.
With the support of coach Phan Thanh Hung, coach Le Huynh Duc agreed to call the midfielder born in 1991 to try out for the Da Nang first team. Thanks to his constant efforts, Anh Khoa quickly integrated and was positively evaluated by the coaching staff. In 2013, he was registered to compete in the V.league and the National Cup.
After playing professionally for 3 years, Tran Anh Khoa was considered for a professional contract at the end of 2015. However, an unexpected incident occurred when this player was seriously injured after a collision with Que Ngoc Hai, almost ending his career.
Khoa had to go through a long journey, fighting the arduous treatment process. At that time, the doctor encouraged him that he had about a 50% chance of returning to competition. But faced with the high cost of treatment, Khoa returned to Da Nang to practice rehabilitation on his own, without asking the club for treatment support in Singapore.
With his own experience, Khoa trained and treated his legs. After 13 months, he returned to practice with the Da Nang team but could not participate in regular activities. Therefore, Anh Khoa asked coach Le Huynh Duc to let him stop playing and switch to studying for a C coach license.
In 2017, Tran Anh Khoa worked with Da Nang football as a youth coach. In recent years, he has been an assistant coach for the Da Nang U21 team. Unfortunately, the 33-year-old midfielder's coaching career only lasted 7 years.
