Based on the report of The Cong Viettel Club, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) decided that the match between The Cong Viettel and Thanh Hoa in round 8 of V.League 2024-2025 will take place at 7:15 p.m. on November 15, 2024 at Hang Day Stadium, instead of being held at My Dinh Stadium.
The tournament organizers request the match organizers, the two clubs above, and related members and departments to update information and coordinate to ensure that the preparation and organization of the match are carried out in accordance with regulations and achieve good results according to the adjusted plan.
This is also the second consecutive match this season that The Cong Viettel has chosen Hang Day Stadium as their home ground. Previously, coach Nguyen Duc Thang and his team also welcomed Binh Duong at Hang Day Stadium, due to a pre-planned event at My Dinh Stadium. In this match, The Cong Viettel won 1-0 against Binh Duong.
This stadium adjustment does not violate the licensing regulations of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
According to AFC regulations, a stadium cannot have 3 clubs choose it as their home stadium. Hang Day Stadium has 2 teams registered, Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police, so The Cong Viettel has chosen Hang Day as their home stadium for the 2024-2025 season.
