In the compensation match of round 11 of V.League 2024-2025 between The Cong Viettel and Hanoi Police held yesterday (February 19), coach Nguyen Duc Thang of The Cong Viettel received a yellow card for overreating the referee. This is the third yellow card Mr. Thang has received.
Mr. Thang said that his student Wesley Nata was fouled by Dinh Trong of Hanoi Police in a counter-attack but referee Hoang Thanh Binh did not award a penalty. Coach Duc Thang reacted strongly, leading to receiving a yellow card. After the match, he explained the situation and asked the referee to be more fair, and hoped to use VAR to help make more accurate decisions.
Notably, the remaining two coaches, Le Duc Tuan and Van Sy Son, were also banned from coaching in round 14 due to reacting to the referee.
In the compensation match of round 11 between Quang Nam and Thanh Hoa yesterday (February 19), Thanh Hoa coach Popov was also not allowed to do his duty because of his red card in the match against Ho Chi Minh City on February 14, also because of his strong reaction to the referee.

In which, Tuan Hai of Hanoi FC was "suspended" for receiving a red card, the remaining 4 players received 3 yellow cards.
