Prime Minister congratulates Vietnam team on achievements

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and commended the members of the Vietnamese team after their 5-0 victory over Myanmar at the ASEAN Cup 2024.

On the evening of December 21, the Vietnamese team defeated Myanmar with a score of 5-0 to win a ticket to the semi-finals as the first place in Group B. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh went to Viet Tri Stadium to watch the performance of Quang Hai and his teammates.

After the match, the Prime Minister went down to the field to celebrate and congratulate the Vietnamese team on their victory, and praised coach Kim Sang-sik and his team for their excellent performance in reaching the semi-finals of the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship.

Regarding the technical factor, the "Golden Star Warriors" showed excellent performance and aspirational fighting spirit. The goals of the Vietnamese team came from the goals of Vi Hao, Quang Hai, Tien Linh and a double from Xuan Son.

Notably, in his first time wearing the national team jersey, striker Nguyen Xuan Son impressed with 2 goals and 2 assists for his teammates to score.

According to the match schedule, the Vietnamese team (Group B winner) will meet Group A runner-up Singapore in the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-finals. The first leg of the semi-final will take place at Jalan Besar Stadium on December 26 and the second leg will be held at Viet Tri Stadium on December 29.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and the players all showed confidence and high determination, ready for the challenges ahead.
