The journey of the Vietnam women's futsal team lasted an additional hour due to the slow departure of the flight from Guangzhou. Although they have to travel a long distance, thanks to careful preparation, the health and spirit of the whole team is still stable.
Immediately after landing, the team quickly moved to Wanhao Hotel, about 10 minutes by bus from the airport. This will be the team's training ground for the next two days, before officially entering the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.
During this time, the team will have a friendly match with the Chinese team in the evening of 3.5. This is an opportunity for the training staff to finally evaluate the performance, squad and tactics, preparing for the goal of affirming the Vietnamese women's futsal capacity at the continental playground and towards the ticket to the world arena.
The 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship will take place from May 7 to 18. The Vietnam women's futsal team is in Group B with Iran, Hong Kong (China) and the Philippines.
According to the tournament format, the top two teams each with the two teams ranked 3rd with the best achievement will win the right to the quarterfinals. The three strongest teams (championship, runner -up and 3rd rank) will win the right to participate in the Futsal Four World Cup 2025 finals at the end of the year.
